 Our National Flag

The National Flag of India, known as the Tiranga (meaning "tri-colour"), is a symbol of our nation's freedom and pride 🇮🇳. It is a horizontal rectangular tricolour, featuring three equally sized bands: saffron at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. The saffron colour stands for courage and sacrifice, the white represents peace and truth, and the green signifies faith and fertility. At the centre of the white band is a navy-blue wheel called the Ashoka Chakra . This wheel has 24 spokes and represents the wheel of law and constant progress. It was adopted on July 22, 1947, just before India gained independence, and its design was created by Pingali Venkayya
